Gozo is the perfect "getaway" island to escape to at any time of the year. You may even combine a Gozo holiday with your Malta stay.Warm and friendly people, beautiful countryside and fantastic weather all year round make it an ideal holiday destination. Greener, more rural and smaller than Malta, life on Gozomoves at a leisurely pace.
The rhythms dictated by the seasons, fishing and agriculture. In winter and spring, the Island is covered with flowering herbs and lush crops. In summer, it’s awash with oleander, bougainvillea and geranium. |

Getting to Gozo
Getting to Gozo
 We can organise transport for you directly from Malta International Airport toyour accommodation,(Taxi - Ferry - Accommodation) or we can meet you at Mgarr Harbour (Gozo). If you are making your own way across the channel, theferry trip takes approximately 25 minutes from Cirkewwa, (Malta) during which you sail past Comino with its glorious Blue Lagoon, just visible through a narrow entrance in the rock coastline. (Ferry timetable.)
The ferry fare is payable on your return trip to Malta and costs Lm2.00/€4.66 per person. (Lm6.50/€15.14 car+driver)
Flying to Malta
Please book/enquire about fares directly with Air Malta as there may be seasonal variations. Also Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) fly regular low cost flights from various airports in Europe. Britishjet (www.britishjet.com) flies from various cities in the UK.
Getting Around in Gozo.
Gozo is a small island, with a road network radiating to most of the outlying villages from Victoria. It is quite easy to get around, with roads being well signposted. The local bus service provides transport from Rabat www.maltatransport.com to most of the outlying villages at a very small cost. However, buses can be infrequent, stop early in the evening, and do not travel to the less populated areas, so car hire is definitely recommended as it enables one to explore the more picturesque places, mainly found off the beaten track.
Compared to most holiday destinations car hire in Gozo is cheap. As a service to our guests, we can pre-arrange for a car to be available upon your arrival, to ensure a care-free holiday.
